Responsibility

At Atelier Zelmira we believe in putting people and our planet first.

Every piece we craft in Peru is made with thoughtfully sourced, recycled materials, reflecting our commitment to minimize environmental impact. By collaborating with local artisans and supporting ethical practices, we strive to empower the communities we work with, ensuring that our jewelry is as meaningful as it is beautiful. Through these efforts, we aim to inspire a deeper connection to both the natural world and the cultural heritage of Peru.

In Quechua, Ari means “yes,” symbolizing affirmation, positivity, and the embrace of new possibilities. The Ari Necklace features sterling silver and sustainably sourced mother of pearl shell from Cabo Blanco, allowing the natural beauty of the shell to shine. Handcrafted with care for both the wearer and the environment, this necklace is a stunning statement piece. The Ari necklace serves as a reminder to say "yes" to new opportunities and celebrate life's beautiful moments.

Each piece is made using sustainably sourced mother-of-pearl shells collected from the northern coast of Peru, where an ongoing conservation project is working to restore the region’s biodiversity. In partnership with a local NGO, this initiative supports the regeneration of marine ecosystems in Cabo Blanco while providing eco-conscious livelihoods to nearby communities. The mother-of-pearl is carefully selected for its natural luster and character—no two pieces are alike. Handcrafted in limited quantities, these designs honor the beauty of the ocean and the importance of protecting it.
