The Rumi Earrings draw their name from the Quechua word "rumi," meaning "stone." Inspired by the ancient landscapes and enduring stonework of the Andes, these earrings are handcrafted from silver and black shells found on the beach in the northern region of Peru. Their organic, sculptural form reflects the raw beauty of nature - each curve and surface shaped to honor the textures of mountain terrain. Bold yet timeless, the Rumi Earrings embody resilience, history, and a deep connection to the earth.
This piece is handcrafted using sustainably sourced shells from the northern coastal region of Peru, Cabo Blanco, where an ongoing conservation project works to restore marine biodiversity and support local communities. By repurposing naturally discarded shells, we help reduce waste and give new life to materials shaped by the sea. Each piece is unique, celebrating the organic beauty of the shell, and is produced in limited quantities by skilled artisans to ensure care, quality, and minimal environmental impact.
